About your PTA

The CROFT PTA, is run by parent and teacher volunteers whose aim is to support the school and raise money to enhance the school and offer and bring extra-curricular experiences to our 'Crofties'. It also aims to foster the sense of community, offering experiences for Parents, Carers and Crofties to all partake in.

We are always needing volunteers, so if you are interested, please email The PTA Chairs, Jim and Ellie Tin - thecroftptaswindon@gmail.com

You can also follow our PTA Facebook page for further updates and information: https://www.facebook.com/thecr...

And often information is sent out via WhatsApp on the Year Group channels.

PTA Achievements & Plans 2024-25

In the academic Year 2024-25 we raised over £20,698. Part of this money was achieved with a successful grant of £10,000 from Nationwide.

We have put a large portion of this money towards funding improvements to the play and relaxation spaces in school – funding resurfacing of the Woodland Area at the back of the school and benches, a reading shed and other equipment to turn this space into an outdoor classroom as well as a quiet area to go at break and lunchtimes. We were also instrumental in the design and plans for updating the curved path area of school too.

Last year the Croft students were able to enjoy two, in school Discos and a “Bounce” day (giant inflatables) – these were funded by the PTA.

In order to raise this money, we put on events such as a Winter Wonderland, Easter Egg Hunt and Bonnet Making, a Summer Fete, Wreath Making, Mothers’ Day Crafternoon, Fathers’ Day Wine tasting and these, as well as the other events, were all very well supported by the Croft Parents and Carers.

This next year we plan to…

· September… Host a Grand Opening of the newly refurbished areas of school

  • October… Launch a Croftie Cook Book (would make a great Christmas pressies!)

  • November… Host a Winter Craft Activity and a Family Games/ Quiz/ Bingo event

  • December… Host Winter celebrations

  • April… Celebrate Easter/ Spring with an Easter Egg Hunt and Bonnet Competition

  • June… Host a School Fete where everyone gets involved – a real community event!

Throughout the year we will…

  • Continue to Collect Pre-loved items such as Halloween Costumes, Christmas Jumpers and Nativity Costumes, other Fancy Dress items and books (These sales raised over £290)

  • Three times a year, we collect for Bag for Schools (parents bring in jumble). (£178 raised last year)

For this year 2024-25, our main aims are to:

  • Purchase a second Goal/Basketball net for the top playground.

  • Provide more shade for the students and play equipment too.

  • Try to acquire part of the green space from the Croft Field for the school.

  • Continue to build a strong community which, not only includes staff and students, but parents and carers as well.

A really easy way that you can support us is to join Easy Fundraising. Easyfundraising is partnered with brands who will donate part of what you spend online to our cause ‘Croft Primary School PTA’, without It costing you anything extra. Also, it is open to anyone! So, feel free to share with friends and family!! Once a quarter, all donations are sent direct to the PTA bank account. Since registering with EasyFundraising we have raised over £400 and we hope to do even better this year!
